Steve Monfort, the John and Adrienne Mars director of the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, contends that there is reason for measured optimism with the current threats to biodiversity. Over lunch at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, he will share examples where our interventions are making a positive difference for the planet.
